Prawn Biryani

Method

Marinate prawn in chilli powder, haldi and salt for 1hr.


Wash and soak basmati rice in water for ½ hr. Drain keep aside.

Heat oil in kadai and fry half of the sliced onions (reserve another half of onion sliced for gray) till brown.


Prepare Gravy

Heat ghee add sliced onion and sauté till golden brown,add ginger garlic paste and untill raw smell goes.
 Add pudina leaves, tomato and fry till is cooked,add marinated prawns and mix well.

Add 1/2glass water and cook
Ones prawn is cooked add little fried onion to the gravy and mix well and keep aside.

Cook rice in 4 cups of water added salt along with all gram masala till rice par cook (3/4th cooked); strain rice and spread on a big plate.

Take biryani pot /cooker spread ghee; add half of the prawn masala, spread steamed rice evenly on prawn masala, spread half of the fried onion sliced. ;Top the rice with remaining prawn masala and then followed by  steamed rice and fried onion slices ,pour milk evenly on layers close the led .

Cook for 2min on medium flame; meanwhile heat tawa and place cooker on tawa and cook on low heat for 10-15min.

Remove the led; and mix rice gently, without breaking rice.

Prawns briyani is ready.
