Chole Puri and Shrikandh


Chloe is Punjabi dish, served with puri. Chloe is prepared in many varieties this is one among which is regularly prepared in my kitchen. When I prepare chole puri for breakfast, Sandeep insists for shrikhand; shrikhand is   a maharastrain sweet served with puri (puri shrikhand); so whenever I prepare chole puri I prepare shrikhand too. Ingredients

11/2cups Kabuli channa (soaked overnight)
1              Onion chopped
1              Tomatoe chopped
2-3         Green chillies
2-3sp     Chilli powder
2sp        Dhania powder
1sp       Zeera Powder
2tbsp   Chole masala( available in market)
Chopped Coriander




Method
  •  Heat oil in kadai add zeera
  • Add chopped onion and saute it 
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes
  • Add slit green chillies and fry
  • Add dhania powder ,zeerapoweder,chole powder and chilli powder and fry 
  • Add chopped tomateos fry till tomatoes gets soft add water let it to boil
  • Add boiled channa mix well add water to the gravy consistency and close led and cook
  • Ones it strats boiling smash  some channa with smasher and close led and cook
  • Ones it gets thick add chopped coriander and serve with puri.

 



Shrikhandh

Shrikandh is an easy recipe; it is made of curd

Ingredients
500ml Curd
4-5tbsp Sugar powder
1/4sp Elachi powder

Method
Pour curd in coconut milk strainer and leave for 2-3hr/ hang curd in muslin cloth for 2-3hr
After 2-3hr the liquid will drain out and you will get thick creamy crud
Add sugar powder and elachi powder and mix well.
Keep in fridge and served chilled shrikandh with hot hot puri




Note:  You can make variation in shrikandh by add dry fruits crushed mango or strawberry pulp…
