Aloo means potatoes and tamatar
means tomatoes in Hindi. This is a simple dish, which goes good not only with
matter poori but also with poori, chatapti and parathas….
Ingredient
3 Potatoes
1 Onion (big)
2 Tomatoes
1sp Ginger garlic paste
1/2sp Turmeric
2-3sp Masala powder
1/2sp Jeera
2sp Oil
Pinch of hing (asafoetida)
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
Heat oil in cooker add jeera and
hing ones jeera crackles add chopped onion, sauté it add ginger garlic paste
fry till it leaves its raw smell
Add Masala powder and haldi by
fry add chopped tomatoes and cook till tomatoes are soft then add cubed potatoes
stir fry add salt and 1cup water and mix well close led of cooker and cook till
two whistle comes off flame and leave
cooker to get cool
Ones cooker is cool remove the led,
smash some potatoes with the help of spoon, and boil it ones it boils add
chopped coriander leaves.
Serve with matter poori/plain
poori /chapatti
