Some call it rava kichidi and some call it as Kara bath but I like to call it mixed vegetable upma.
Ingredients
1cup Rava (semolina)
1cup Vegetables (French beans, carrot, peas)
1 Onion chopped
1 Tomato chopped
1tsp Sambar powder
2tsp Oil
1/4sp Rai (mustard)
1/2sp Channa dal (black chickpea splited)
1tsp Ghee
1/2sp Sugar
Few Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
Heat 1tsp ghee in wok and roast rava until nice aroma comes out without changing colour. (Skip this step if you are using roasted rava, which is easily available in market) and keep aside.
Heat oil in wok add rai ones it starts crackling add channa dal and fry till it turns red add curry leaves.Add vegetables and stir-fry......
Add 2cups of water salt and sugar
close the led and let cook until vegetables are cooked.
Add fried rava and stir continuously
so that no lumps formed; close the led and cook for 5minutes.
Ones water gets absorbed (“sorry
missed to click”) add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
