Double ka meetha is
a bread pudding dessert of fried bread slices soaked in hot milk with spices,
including saffron and cardamom. Double ka meetha is a dessert of Hyderabad. It
is popular in Hyderabadi cuisine, served at weddings and parties.
Procedure
Remove the sides and
cut breads into pieces
Heat oil in kadai;
fry bread pieces and keep aside
After breads are fried,
fry sliced kaju and almond in same oil and keep aside
Boil milk let it
reduce to half
Make sugar syrup of
one thread
Add fried bread
pieces to sugar syrup and mix so that sugar syrup is coated very well to bread
Add boiled milk, mix
well, and let it boil until milk get reduced; do not stir continuously.
Garnish with fried dry fruits

meetha with cream (optional)
Note: As per recipe,
we have to add 3 cups of sugar for one-pound bread, as that we prefer less sweet
I have added 2 ½-cup sugars.
