Spicy Shenga Chutney Powder



Shenga means peanut/groundnut in Marathi. This is one of the most important food items in North Karnataka and Maharashtra. You can prepare it once and preserve in an airtight container for two or three months. This chutney powder mixed with a curd; be used as a combination with dosa, chapatti, rotti etc.

Procedure

Roast peanut, crush in mixer, and take in a bowl

Add salt and chilly powder to the crushed peanut and mix well

Heat oil add rai ones it starts crackling add crushed garlic fry
Add peanut mixture and fry on low flame for 10min

Add lemon juice, mix well, and fry until it becomes dry.

Store in airtight container.
